Similar to Microsoft Word, an editor has the option of recording changes made to an OpenOffice document. Here is a simple guide to navigating the markup options in OpenOffice.
How do I keep the changes but remove the markup for printing?
If you would like to keep the changes recorded on your document but would not like the changes to show on the printed file, follow the steps below.
- Go to “Edit > Changes” and deselect “Show“.
- To hide the comments, go to “View” and deselect “Comments“.
- Print your document.
How do I remove comments?
If you right click on any comment, the option to delete that comment will appear.
How do I remove the markup?
Markup can only be removed by accepting or rejecting the changes made. To do this, click on “Edit > Changes > Accept or Reject“.
